Privacy policy
This policy explains how Lanes collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the Lanes desktop app, cloud service, website, and the Lanes Session Connector browser extension.
In short
- Lanes does not sell your data, and never uses it for advertising.
- Browser cookies are handled only for sites you explicitly authorize, and only to keep your own agents signed in.
- The connector never collects passwords, page contents, keystrokes, or card numbers.
- Session data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and deleted when you disconnect or delete your account.
- You can revoke access, disconnect a service, or delete everything at any time.
Information Lanes handles
Lanes handles account details you provide, product settings, agent work and results, and operational diagnostics needed to run and improve the service.
If you enable the Lanes Session Connector, it also handles the browser cookies and associated website domains that you explicitly authorize. Those cookies can include authentication tokens and account identifiers. The connector does not collect passwords, page contents, keystrokes, or payment-card numbers.
How browser sessions are used
Authorized cookies are sent through Chrome’s native-messaging channel to the authenticated Lanes desktop app on your device. Lanes uses them only to create encrypted session bundles and keep Lanes agents signed in to services you have chosen.
The extension does not send cookie data directly to an internet endpoint and does not use remote code.
Storage, security, and retention
Portable session data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access is restricted to the account and Lanes devices that need it to perform requested work.
We retain session data while the connection is active or as needed to provide the service, then delete it when you disconnect the service or delete your account, subject to limited security, legal, and backup-retention requirements.
Sharing and sale
Lanes does not sell user data. We do not use browser-session data for advertising, creditworthiness, lending, or any purpose unrelated to operating the connector and the Lanes work you request.
We may use service providers that process data on our behalf under confidentiality and security obligations, and may disclose information when required by law or to protect users and the service.
Your choices
Website access is optional. You can remove the extension’s website permission in Chrome, disable or uninstall the extension, disconnect individual services in Lanes, or request deletion of your account data. Removing permission stops future browser exports.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the product changes. The effective date at the top identifies the current version.
