Reach out · a Lanes play

Reach the people going to an event, before or after it

Write to fellow attendees before or after an event.

  • Meetup
  • LinkedIn
  • Up to 1 hour a run
  • Sends from your accounts

The problem

The people you want are all in one room for a day. Working out who they are and writing to them beforehand is the prep that never gets done.

How your agent runs it

  1. Opens the event you name on Luma, Meetup, Eventbrite or the event's own site.
  2. Uses only the speaker, sponsor and attendee lists the page shows publicly or to your registered account. It never signs up under a false name or pays to see a list.
  3. Picks the number of attendees you asked for who fit, reads each one's LinkedIn profile and saves them.
  4. Sends each one a short message from your account that names the event.
  5. Before the event, it suggests meeting there only if you said you're going. After it, it follows up on the event and offers one useful next step.
  6. Never claims you met someone or heard a talk you didn't.
  7. Saves the event link, where each person appeared on it and proof the message was sent.

What you tell it

What you offer
For example: I'll be at the meetup and happy to compare notes on month-end close
Which event
For example: SaaS Founders Meetup SF on October 14

What counts as done

  • The number of messages you asked for, each with proof it was sent, and a clear note if it fell short.

Before anything counts, a second agent opens the proof and checks it.

FAQ

About this play

How does the Reach people going to an event play work in Lanes?

Write to fellow attendees before or after an event. Lanes uses a browser the way you do, signed in as you, on Meetup and LinkedIn. Opens the event you name on Luma, Meetup, Eventbrite or the event's own site. Uses only the speaker, sponsor and attendee lists the page shows publicly or to your registered account. It never signs up under a false name or pays to see a list.

Does the Reach people going to an event play send messages from my accounts?

Yes, from your own connected accounts, one message per person. Lanes checks each email in Gmail or Outlook right before it goes. Every send stays within your daily cap and your sending hours. Lanes never writes to anyone who unsubscribed, bounced or asked not to be contacted.

How long does a run take?

A run of Reach people going to an event can take up to 1 hour. At the end, Lanes tells you what it finished, with proof.

What do I need to connect?

Connect the accounts this play needs, such as Gmail, LinkedIn or X. For Gmail, choose Connect Gmail in Settings > Email, choose your address on Google's permission screen and allow access. Lanes then works from your connected accounts. Everything else it reads on the public web. This play works on Meetup and LinkedIn.
